Programme Characteristics

This programme differs from other degree programmes in the PolyU by covering both engineering and management aspects of logistics.  It is the only kind of logistics programme in Hong Kong that is run co-operatively by both an engineering department and a business department.  Accordingly, it widens the exposure and outlook of students in the two major domains of logistics, and it will fill the growing market demand for logistics professionals, who are competent in both logistics engineering and logistics management.

Through the collaboration of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering and the Department of Logistics, the programme uses the most advanced facilities of their kind in the region.

To further expose students to work experience in a real life environment, a sandwich option is offered at the end of the second year of study, where students have the opportunity to gain supervised work experience for a year before returning to their final year of study.
