Logistics Engineering and Management can be
defined as the use of technologies to manage the process of planning,
implementing and controlling the efficient and effective flow, and the
storage of goods, services and related information from point of origin to
point of consumption for the purpose of conforming to customer
requirements.
Logistics engineering is one of the main
disciplines that has been identified by the HKSAR government for
accelerated development and substantial growth to support the local
economy. Consequently, the growth of logistics activities in this
region will be enormous in the years ahead.
