To further
expose students to working experience in a real life environment in
industry so as to provide them with the opportunity to better develop
their all-roundedness, a sandwich option has been introduced into
the BSc(Hons) programme in Logistics Engineering and Management (LEM)
This option is
available for all students studying the programme. Accordingly, students that
have now completed Year 1 of the programme will be eligible to apply and work in
industry after they have completed their Year 2 studies.
The students who have
selected this option will begin a minimum 42 week period (approx. 11 months) of
supervised work experience in industry starting in the summer after the
completion of their Year 2 studies. This is equivalent to three 14 week
semesters. The wage during the period will subject to the final confirmation
between the student and the partner company.
