Following winning the Gold Award in HK U-21 RFID Awards 2012, a team of six students gained another victory in the HK-Taiwan EPC/RFID Academia Awards 2012.
After rigorous assessment, the student team from the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) stood out from the crowd among the strong teams from Hong Kong and Taiwan, and was honored as the Winner of the Most Innovative Awards and the Winner of the Best Research Awards in the HK-Taiwan EPC / RFID Academia Awards 2012.
Under the guidance of Dr W.H. Ip, Associate Professor of ISE, the students showed their distinction in EPC/RFID technology innovation with the project aimed at providing signs and a barrier-free environment for visual disabled people by the integration of RFID and EPCglobal.
