Achievements
ISE student teams awarded “Platinum Award” and “Excellent Award” in GSC: PolyU Pre-Challenge 2012-13

Two student teams from the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) were awarded the ‘Platinum Award for Innovation’ and ‘Excellence Awards for Innovation’ at the Global Student Challenge (GSC), an international business plan competition organised by the PolyU. The award-winning projects are listed as follows:

 

"Platinum Award for Innovation” (Final Round; GSC: PolyU Pre-challenge 2012-13)

Project: MID (Mark it down)

Students: LUI Yuen Chong, LAU Ka Shing, YAU Kin Lung

Advisor: Dr George HO (ISE)

 

"Excellent Award for Innovation” (Second Round; GSC: PolyU Pre-challenge 2012-13)

Project: School Bus Monitoring System (SBMS)

Students: TANG Yaqing, CHEN Yaoxing, WU Wei

Advisor: Dr Jacky TING (ISE)

 

The award winning students (LUI Yuen Chong, LAU Ka Shing, YAU Kin Lung) and their advisor (Dr George HO; first from the right) receive the “Platinum Award for Innovation” and a cash prize of HK$20,000 from the Chairman and CEO of IDT International Ltd (Dr Raymond CHAN; middle).
