Jointly organized by the Knowledge Management and Innovation Research Centre, Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and CMA Canada (BC Hong Kong Branch), this talk will provide an update on the development of Knowledge Management and associated tools in the past decades. In recent years, Web 2.0, social media and Cloud Computing have a profound effect on knowledge sharing and collaboration, especially in the form of bottom-up ubiquitous sharing, the viral effect, harnessing of micro-expertise and collective wisdom. Supported by plenty of examples and cases for illustration, this seminar sheds light into how knowledge work is being carried out, now and in the near future.
Those who are especially interested in knowledge harnessing should not miss this workshop!
