The RFID Solutions Laboratory was once again invited by the Institute for Entrepreneurship (IfE) to be one of the representatives for PolyU to exhibit their solutions at the HKTDC Hong Kong International Medical Devices & Supplies Fair 2013, which was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 14 to 16 May 2013. The three-day exhibition even attracted over 8,200 local and international visitors.
The laboratory demonstrated their medical-related RFID solutions which include “RFID-based Electronic Nursing Management System” and “RFID-based Drug Management System” and etc. The visitors expressed their interests in these solutions which were potential solutions to improve their medical-related business operation and management.
Besides the local and international visitors, Mr. Anthony T.Y. Wu, Chairman of Hong Kong Hospital Authority, also visited the booth and Dr W.H. Ip, Associate Professor of Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, gave an introduction regarding the medical-related solutions to the guests.
The laboratory received lots of positive feedbacks and enquiries from the visitors during the exhibition, inquiring the details of the RFID solutions and possibility of collaboration, for instance. It is hoped that the exhibition can let the visitors to have better understanding on the RFID technology and can trigger more collaboration opportunities for enhancing medical-related operation and management development.
