Speaker: Professor Van-Dat CUNG
Date: 30 October 2013 (Wednesday)
Time: 13:00 – 14:00
Venue: Room EF728
In this seminar, Professor Van-Dat CUNG will share the state-of-the-art in optimization algorithms, and some of his recent research works in industrial and research projects.
Professor Van-Dat CUNG is a full professor in Institut polytechnique de Grenoble/Grenoble Institute of Technology, Grenoble INP, FRANCE. His former works were in Parallel Optimization Algorithms, and development of various solving methods to tackle large-size NP-hard Optimization problems. He has an excellent connection with the local industries in France, and focused his research in real-life industrial applications such as the design, optimization, and management, on the one hand of logistics and transportation (urban logistics, hub location, bus networks, collect and distribution, supply chain coordination, inventory control, reverse logistics and packaging supports), and on the other hand of production systems of goods and services (scheduling in production shops, employee planning).
