Dr. K.F. Chu is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, PolyU. He is a chartered engineer and corporate member of the Hong Kong Institute of Engineers, Institute of Materials, UK, and the Institution of Engineers, Australia. KF Chu has been serving in tertiary education for more than 25 years. He worked in industry for more than three years before joining the Polytechnic University. He started off teaching in technological subjects and later specialised mainly in industrial and manufacturing management areas. His research interests are varied and include Manufacturing Management and Strategy, Technology and Knowledge Management, and Cultural and Human Factors in Industry. At present, he is involved in researches related to the knowledge management based approach to strategic planning in manufacturing industry. Dr. Chu is a Certified Knowledge Manager of The Knowledge and Innovation Management Professional Society (KMPro).
