The Region's Largest Knowledge Management Conference to explore the knowledge impact in organizational, governmental and social contexts bridging technology, behavioral and cognitive issues.
The 3rd Asia-Pacific International Conference on Knowledge Management (KMAP2006) will be held in Hong Kong from 12th to 15th December, 2006. The conference will be organized by the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the Department of Information Systems of City University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Knowledge Management Society.
The Day 1 of the Conference features renowned keynote speakers who will explore multi-dimensional issues in Knowledge Management (KM), namely collaboration and societal issues, knowledge discovery through data mining and taxonomy, and tapping into intangible assets. The keynote speeches will be followed by a forum to address the management issues and the assessment of intellectual capital. Facilitated by an expert, a knowledge cafe will be held in an open space area where participants can exchange views in a socially relaxed environment.
On Day 2 of the Conference the relationship between innovation and knowledge management and topics such as connectedness, organizational effectiveness, leadership, knowledge networks and clusters, learning and unlearning will be discussed. The conference atmosphere will be a dynamic one with an interactive mix of experienced managers, short interventions by panelists and general discussion with the delegates.
From 14th to 15th December 2006 there will be eight half-day workshops. By attending these workshops, attendees will discover how to implement knowledge management in their organizations with specific techniques, frameworks, and methodologies.
